Please Stop our School Council from Changing our School Name.
They have NOT asked our community if we want a name change and also haven't given us the option to keep it the same on the ballot form.
Over 1000 current students and many more ex students surely we get a say in our HISTORY.

The momentum we have built proves the administration cannot ignore our history. Sharyn O'Neill needs to see that we are not going to let them erase our school name without a fight.

Did not vote as there was no option to keep the name the same. It should have been! The note will NOT be representatives be of community feeling.
Please do not change the name. The community of Kununurra do not want it changed. Use the money to provide better support and educational programmes for the students, and things that are actually needed. By changing the name, you are disregarding the historical and family connections to the school under it’s current name of KDHS.
KDHS doesn’t need a name change It needs more teachers and help for FASD kids, fridges for class rooms, covered walk areas for wet season. Name change will bring more problems for parents on low income... uniforms change ect
I lived in the Kimberley for many many years and I really hope the name does NOT change. I can’t see how it will benefit the school or the kids,,, spend the money elsewhere! I can also imagine the astronomical cost to the parents!! #dontchangetheirname
Former student, and children still enrolled. A select few shouldn't be allowed to change our history. Disappointed with the process. We don't need a name change.
I am a ex student of KDHS. There is no need to change the name just a waste of parents money changing uniforms for what community gain?

As a society we are all to quick to change the name of references in community. Schools should not have name changes unless there is major concern that the name is somehow offensive . KDHS should remain as is.
