As of now in Delaware if you wish to carry a concealed deadly weapon (a constitutional right) you must first complete a long list of requirements. One of them being listing your name and address in the news paper, letting everyone (including criminals) know where you live and that you will be carrying a weapon. The Delaware concealed carry process cost upwards of $500, preventing many low income families in high crime area's from protecting themselves and loved ones. This petition was made in an effort to bring attention to these issues in hopes that Delaware will be added to the growing list of constitutional carry states.

I would prefer to carry concealed for the comfort of the people around me. It can be alarming to some people just seeing a holstered firearm. But due to the outrageous cost of obtaining a ccw in Delaware i am currently restricted to open carry. Fortunately it hasn't cause much discomfort so far but i would still like to be considerate of those around me. I support open carry and constitutional carry. Thank you.
