This petition was intiated by Mark Minor, candidate for State Senate 59th District. The petition is a call to members of the Illinois General Assembly to stand up for the rights of gun owners in the great state of Illinois. Call to Action: We, the undersigned, are concerned citizens who urge members of the Illinois General Assembly to approve legislation giving citizens the ability to obtain a concealed carry license. Illinois is the only state in the nation without a concealed carry provision in law. We support the right of honest citizens to exercise their 2nd Amendment rights.

Protecting myself is a right not a privilege. My gun stays in the safe because of these ridiculous laws and it makes me a target.
