Royal Mail have decided to move Kevin Going from the round that he has been doing for the last 17 years and we, the customers, would like to keep him. Kevin is much more than the man who delivers our letters, he keeps an eye on our properties when he knows we are away, he checks on the elderly residents to make sure the they are OK, he knows all the families and has seen them through birth, marriages and deaths - he is a friend to all in the community.

Please sign this petition for us to present to Royal Mail. There is a short time scale on this as the change is due to start in the New Year

Updates

November 12, 2015

I was just out walking the dog and ran into someone who told me they saw Kevin earlier and he looked pretty worried about the whole thing which just makes me want to push harder. I am spending my afternoons typing up notes about how much he really does for our neighborhood because the higher ups at the depot need to understand that he is not just a guy moving mail around.

My other half is sometimes away on business and I find having Kevin who knows me very reassuring. He is a friendly face every morning and knows where to leave parcels if I am out.. Please do not take him away he is part of our community.

The Royal Mail Group states it has 3 key strategies. One of these is "Being Customer Focussed". Kevin consistently delivers that strategic aim for you. If he wishes to stay on this round, you'd be undermining your own strategy to move him.

Kevin is a very experienced postman who knows his patch intimately and looks after us exceptionally well. Establishing such relationships takes years and it seems folly for the Post Office to move him. Surely they should have respect the wishes of customers' wishes on whom their business depends,

Kevin is our honest, reliable and helpful postman. He is the embodies the difference between using Royal Mail rather than courier firms. It would be a big loss to me as a RM customer if he was moved from his present round. You should change this decision.

Kevin is excellent at his job and is a valued member of the community. He is trustworthy, friendly and efficient. If he was to stay, as I understand is his wish, then it would be a significant boost to the community at a time when the rural way of life is under threat in so many different ways.

Kevin is an exceptional postman not only is he utterly reliable and uses his common sense when delivering post( doesn't leave parcels in wet puddles) but he goes above and beyond his postman duties ie., he keeps a watchful eye on our elderly residents. He must be allowed to stay.

Please don't take Kevin away. There is little enough left of community and Kevin is a major player in making up our community in Compton. We love seeing him every day- stupid idea to send him to bramley. Please don't. Thank you

Kevin has earned the respect of the villagers, he is helpful, cheerful always polite. Crime to remove him.
