Attn: Borrowdale, Harare Residents!
In order to stop Combis from stopping on the corner of Crowhill Rd. and Borrowdale Rd., I have been asked by City Of Harare (COH) to organize a petition.
This needs to be signed by Residents, requesting that COH put up a barricade from entrance to Total garage (on Crowhill), up to Borrowdale rd. and around the corner and up to the entrance to Total on Borrowdale Rd. so that the commuters cannot stop on the corner and obstruct traffic along Borrowdale Road as well as those turning left from Crowhill Rd. into Borrowdale Road.
COH did a site visit this morning and they say commuters MUST use the existing designated Bus Stops that are before Total on Crowhill Rd. and on Borrowdale Rd. Zuva side.
They will make one more Bus Stop on Zuva side on Crowhill Rd. for commuters going from Borrowdale Rd. down Crowhill Rd. as that is also a big problem, especially when there are fuel queues. BEFORE THERE IS A SERIOUS ACCIDENT THERE, LET US GET THIS SIGNED AND SORTED OUT!
Please sign asap, we have 4 days to get this done and sent to ZRP Borrowdale and 2 copies will go to City of Harare so that they can then action this. Thank you in anticipation.

The City of Harare is finally moving after their site visit but the obstruction at the corner remains a death trap for every driver passing through. The combi drivers are still ignoring the designated stops and forcing us to navigate a chaotic mess every single day. I am handing these signatures to the authorities now because we cannot wait for a fatal accident to force them to install the barricades.

The combis are rude they threaten people and have no respect for the lives in and out of their combis
ZRP Borrowdale should be more proactive as this intersection is almost opposite the Borrowdale Police station. the sooner this is implemented and regulated the better
Combis are one of the worst traffic hazards and must be disciplined in where they stop for passengers.
do not put a bus stop on crowhill by zuva.. remove it completely and put it further down
Good idea. Same issue at Borrwodale road and Whitwell where kombis obstruct traffic turning onto the filter that leads to Borrwodale road from Whitwell.

It is intriguing - that the Kombi's interfere with traffic and during fuel queues form an extra line making this corner extremely dangerous and in full view of Borrowdale Police station???? I wonder why?
