Dear Casa Marinwood residents/neighbors,
Despite the ongoing global pandemic, Marin County currently allows the use of outdoor community pools as long as there are COVID related restrictions in place aligned with the county guidelines to be observed by their residents the entire time.
I have seen other communities's protocols (not requiring a paid person to monitor what is happening) being successfully deployed which are very close in size and proximity to Casa Marinwood.
With enough support gathered from you towards this petition, I would like to go back to our HOA board requesting they re-consider their current position and allow the opening of our swimming pool with rules (we can use similar rules applied in the other communities as long as the are compliant with County regulations).
While I am aware there is a chance that by middle of June 2021, California may be lifting all COVID restrictions (HOA Board already committed to reopen the pool if that happens) I am also worried this very welcome change may not last forever and I believe it is important that our HOA Board knows the preference from the majority of our residents regarding the use of the swimming pool.

I support this only if we have a means of tracking safe covid19 protocols, such as limiting # of people at poolside, and limiting only to residents (not guests) at this time. How would we enforce this? Perhaps with issuing resident badges and a bad scanning device? We could each contribute to such a cost. Or???
We deserve the usage of our pool. We can not let the board mistakenly project on us the residents that we are going to be “irresponsible” as they claim.

Here is another FREE online booking system that other condo HOA use as well: https://calendly.com/ Although with most of Marin vaccinated, and masks no longer required outdoors for those vaccinated, there should be no reason why the pool is not open already. We should not have to wait until 6/15, if then. PLEASE OPEN THE POOL FOR THIS COMMUNITY TO USE.
Agree - no more excuses for not opening the pool! There are plenty of safe ways to allow the pool to reopen, including this online FREE booking system that other condo HOA use: https://calendly.com However, now that most of Marin is vaccinated and masks are no longer required OUTDOORS for those vaccinated, we shouldn't have to wait another month for the pool to reopen - open it now!! 101 Grande Paseo

I have been swimming at the local Community pool in Marinwood and with registration and reserved lap swim and continued COVID safety protocols in place I support this reopening. I think it’s key to have reservations in place and limited use until our population is safer. When not in the pool, masks required at all times is a comforting structure at the Community Pool.
