Over the years, other states have been changing to a uniform to suit modern trends. States, such as Western Australia and Victoria, have been able to manipulate this simple aspect of the Badminton game to their advantage by having players wear good looking, professional uniforms. By having all their state representatives wearing this attire, the players emanate a feeling of intimidation, which can have a profound effect on the score board. By having a respectable and professional looking uniform, our New South Wales state team representatives will become an even more intimidating force to be reckoned with. But also, there are more benefits of changing the current uniform. By changing the current NSW State team shirt to a shirt which has implements modern technology which allows sweat to be pulled away from the body as well as increasing airflow to the skin, players can have a more enjoyable and comfortable experience competing. Players also find it difficult to warm up with the current NSW tracksuit top. Complaints that the current tracksuit is 'too bulky' are not uncommon among NSW State team representatives and some find it rather difficult to warm up in, with the part covering the body rather large, but the elastic at the bottom restricting movement around the shoulder area. But also, players found that when raising the arms, because the elastic was rather short and constricting, the tracksuit would move up and reveal the players bare abdomen. Many of the players found this aspect of the tracksuit top rather annoying and embarrassing. Changing the current tracksuit top to a more professional looking and better fitting one would provide players with a more comfortable experience as well as improving self-esteem. In conclusion, we advise that all officials and mangers involved in this matter take the players thoughts about the current NSW state team uniform seriously and into account before the next National competition.
