The student body along with the cooperation of the parents are requesting to alter the current status of the uniform policy for the Academy of Arts & Minds Charter School. The request stipulates that the alterations include 1a. Shorts/Skirts to not exceed three inches above the knee. 1b. Denim Jeans/Pants are to be permitted as long as they are neat and not distressed and must be in the school colors (blue, black, and beige). 1c. Pants/Jeans must be at waist level. Please note we wish to keep the remainder of the regulations in place. Although your current regulations provide the up-most safety for the student body there are certain aspects that hinder the day to day operations of the students and faculty, such as the constant attempts to regulate by the staff to adjust and discipline the current students for petty violations of the student dress code.
The reach of this proposal has grown significantly since its inception. This momentum demonstrates that the community desires a more practical approach to our uniform standards.

Changing uniform policy can give an opportunity for the students to express themselves and make the school more popular as most schools have a uniform policy.
