We understand the intention behind having a polished and consistent uniform for excursions and when representing the College. However, senior students do not regularly participate in sport on Thursdays, apart from representative sport, and wearing the formal College uniform on these days has never been an issue. As a result, requiring Year 11 students to purchase an additional sports uniform does not have a practical need.
This change also creates a significant and unexpected financial burden for families. Many students have kept their old sports uniforms based on the understanding they wouldn't be needed in senior years. Now, families may be required to spend upwards of $300 on a new sports uniform and polo, despite these items only being used occasionally. As the first cohort affected by this change, we also do not have access to second hand options from previous Year 11 students.
We believe there are more practical alternatives, such as simply wearing the regular College uniform on excursions, allowing existing sports uniform pieces to be used, or introducing the new requirement with the 2028 Year 11 cohort. We ask the College to reconsider this decision and the unnecessary cost it places on our families.

Bc I love this school but don’t love this uniform
Why is it that the uniform only affects our grade and no other?
I feel this uniform either needs to be redesigned or stay as the current sport uniform. This version is extremely easy to get dirty and purely i don’t feel in compliments our Bosco spirit.
just think its stupid and dont get why the parents are spending more and more when this is so irrelevant to us. lowks the school is dragging stuff.
I just believe it is unnecessary and there are many reasons that it’s not needed
It’s useless and waste of money as we already have to buy a new uniform
