We the undersigned support the
campaign by David Morris MP to urge Lancashire County Council not to cut bus
services in Morecambe & Lunesdale and bus services from Morecambe &
Lunesdale to Lancaster, these services are vital.
The volume of support has reached a level that demands a formal response from Lancashire County Council. I am arranging a meeting with the transport committee to present these signatures and outline our specific objections to the proposed service cuts.

these bus services are vital for me to be able to get to work and back. I am disabled and without them i would become housebound! I need these bus services as i rely on them for my independence.

We live in a rural area where wages are low and house prices are high, many people rely on public transport to travel to work as they cannot afford the cost of running a car. The proposed curtailment of services will be disastrous for many indviduals and families.

I live in Halton. I don't drive, taxis are too expensive and it is too far to walk to Lancaster. Cutting the bus service would greatly restrict freedom of movement for people who don't drive, particularly the young and elderly.

These bus services are needed by many in the rural areas. Cutting bus services will lead to a combination of rural isolation and increased car use. Does anyone else notice the irony of a Conservative MP working to reverse county council cuts that are a result of cuts to council funding put in place by the Conservative government?

The Kirkby Lonsdale to Lancaster bus service 81A is the only bus that serves the village of Gressingham other than the school bus 81B. The Service schedule is already extremely restrictive and any reduction in service would inevitably cause hardship to service users. Gressingham has an increasing Senior Citizen population.

The Lune Valley without a bus service will make it very difficult for pensioners and young people. Dad or Mum can't drive them everywhere!
