We, the undersigned, understand that Worcestershire County Council have proposed to cut £3 million to public transport in Worcestershire.
We request that Worcestershire County Council reverse this decision and make a commitment to protect local bus services from future funding cuts.
We ask Councillors to examine the knock-on impacts of planned cuts and changes to Worcestershire bus services, and to consider their obligations under the Equalities Act 2010.

Worcestershire County Council is finally squirming because the momentum behind this demand is becoming impossible to ignore. They think they can slash our lifeline and walk away without a fight but they are dead wrong.

If the 61 bus was stopped through subsidy cut I would be unable to go anywhere. I do not drive and nearest bus will be over 2 miles away and I can't walk that far especially with shopping.
I am very concerned about these cuts eg 192 Kidderminster to Halesowen. This is an essential service, as are many of others. People are going to struggle and will find themselves housebound especially pensioners. Not everyone has a car and will be isolated without these services
Desperate to keep buses. I pay 547 pound per year for my daughter to get to college in Worcester and she struggles to get buses as it is without losing even more. working full time we as a family need the bus services to enable our children to get around
The 192 is vital to my degree studies, as it takes me to Halesowen and connects with the bus for University in Birmingham. It is a vital service for many people wishing to travel to the city.
How do they expect older people to get out and about? What about all the housing estates abandoned without any bus service?....not to mention 'strangling' the retail premises in the town(s) i.e. losing their cashflow!
My brother Simon Wadley is in a wheelchair and relies on the Evesham to Pershore bus to

Any removal of bus services by WCC may well breach their own Transport Plan LTP 3 ( 2011-16) which states that national guidance dictates that buses should not be removed where it will adversely affect those peoples uch as the elderly or young who do not have access to a car.
