I don't know about you, but I really miss all of the family-focused events and traditions that used to take place at TPC and truly made it the "Loveliest Little Preschool". We all know how fast these kiddos grow up and all of these preschool times are such sacred and special memories.... all of which we have completely missed out on for the last year and a half.
All of the competitive preschools in the area (St Lukes, ECC, Willow Creek, First Years, and Carillon Methodist...) are back to holding their events. A few modified to accommodate COVID and others have returned back to normal. In addition, these other preschools are all offering some form of extended care - something unavailable to us at TPC.
Here are a few of the special memories that we are missing out on: Music Classes, Donuts with Dad, Thanksgiving Feast, Christmas Shoppe, Christmas Concert, Annual Art Show, Muffins with Mom, Daddy-Daughter Dance, Mother-Son Lego Date, and birthday celebrations in class. Preschool is too short for parents and children to be missing out on these!
Please consider signing the petition to bring back the fun family events that used to fill the walls of our sweet preschool.
What makes TPC such a great school is the people who work there. As parents, we don’t know the guidelines they have to follow or situations that have come up. Instead of a public petition, if you trust the director and people who work there, you should address it with them directly. Creating a public petition where people can comment anonymously is additional pressure in an already stressful time for educators. I think many agree that we want fun activities, but instead of this petition, I would encourage parents to talk or email directly to the director and staff.
