We understand that there has been a change in the Shullsburg Elementary School Holiday Concert. The change that we understand is that the 4k class along with the 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades will no longer be participating in this traditional event. We would like to express our concern as students, parents, grandparents, and members of the community that this change is unnecessary and very saddening and we are not supportive of it. We believe that in the spirit of Christmas, that the Holiday Concert brings forth excitement and joy to the elementary students and should not be taken away. We believe that this tradition is one to be cherished, not removed nor altered. Personally, I look forward to this joyful event and watching all of the classes participate and, now, it breaks my heart that my spirited daughter, who is in 4k, does not get to be a part of this when it is something that she has looked forward to the last 3 years while watching her big brother. I know that I am not the only person who feels this way and for those that do, it is important that we come together and try to prevent this change. Please help us with the cause of keeping the traditional Holiday Program alive and the event that we all cherish by showing your support and signing this petition to be taken to the School Board Meeting Wednesday, November 9, 2016. Thank you for your help!

Don't take any more from the little ones. They love this. What is the reason for stopping? I can only guess.
We have come to the Christmas program the last several years and it has always been wonderful! I think it's a shame to take this away from the students & their family & friends. It's these things that bring the community together! I wonder what the reasoning is behind this decision?
The elementary Christmas concert is an awesome tradition in Shullsburg. Please let all the classes show their talent.
Oh my how sad. The Christmas program was one of the events that both Verne and I always looked forward too. Just seeing how the kids faces lite up when they spotted their family members in the audience,
We need to keep the holiday concert in our school...all the children work hard on it and look forward to it every year as do the patents, grandparent and ALL who attend!
I believe that the holiday concert should stay as it is a big event for all loved ones to see the children preform and show Holiday spirit!

I have two children that this effects this year. Neither one will get a Christmas concert or program. Really kinda takes away from the small town holiday spirit.
