The police have said their decision is based upon how distracting Kathleen's dancing can be to the drivers. Personally, I'm distracted by those flashy lights police have on top of their cars...yet I'm able to keep my focus on the road where it belongs. The responsible for safe driving lies with the person controlling the vehicle.

Kathleen is a fource of community who keeps us feeling vconnected, keeps our kids feeling safe, and keeps our community smiling even on the coldest, bleekest of days. Don't take her spirit and her dancing away from us! Her music is a gift to everyone who crosses safely at her stop.

A grey city where everybody stands still is not a safer city. Dufferin Ave is a dangerous place for pedestrians and Kathleen is a harbour of safety. Banning her from dancing is a travesty: moving on the job is just one of the many reasons she's a GREAT crossing guard. Don't punish her for being fantastic at her job!

Kathleen has brightened my day with her dancing more times than I can count. If only all public service employees brought that kind of enthusiasm to their job. I say let the dancing go on!

Kathleen is good at her job. She helps people (kids especially) get from A to B safely. I see her job skill every time I cross Dufferin St in the morning. She also happens to have amazing muscial taste and rhythmic style. I don't see the problem here.

I used to work at Dufferin and Queen. People go WAAAY too fast on that stretch of road. Kathleen really made me sit up and take noise, racing away in her brightly coloured vest - SHE MADE THEM VISIBLE! She also had a great repoire with the parents and kids she helped across this busy street. Bring her back?! Heck, she deserves a pay raise and perhaps she should give a seminar on how to do it well! I always remember to SLOW DOWN because one woman danced to remind me.

Maybe the bullies would have left me alone, had I been able to dance too...a former grade 5 crossing guard.
