Please lend your support by signing this petition to help save our Foster City Crossing Guard program.
The Audubon PTA Board has voted to support the campaign to save our Foster City Crossing Guards from a proposed budget cut.
The need for a crossing guard on Gull Ave at the entrance to Audubon School and all the Foster City Elementary schools are essential for the safety of our children walking across these public streets.  The Gull  crosswalk is not controlled by a stop sign and is currently protected by our crossing guard Nancy Charlow during the very traffic congested hours each school morning and at school dismissal.
Due to liability and insurance reasons this position cannot be filled by a volunteer.
Please join us in this petition and if you can at the June 6th Foster City Council meeting at 6:30pm.
Save our Crossing Guards and help keep our public streets safe!

The city council remains quiet about the budget cuts but we are preparing our testimony for the next public hearing. Please text the link to three neighbors who walk their kids to school. We need them to see this petition before the vote happens.

We hit a major milestone in our campaign to protect our crossing guards. Now is the time to push harder. Email your city council representative today and tell them these safety positions must be fully funded.

Nancy is the best! My kids cross there everyday and it is way too busy for them to do it alone. Save the guards.

Budget cuts are one thing but kids lives are another. Put the money back into the crossing guards immediately.

Are you kidding me? Cutting crossing guards is just asking for a tragedy to happen. Keep them where they are.
