Reinstate Donald "The Dancin' Cop" Thomas as Provincetown Seasonal Traffic Director
We, the undersigned people of Provincetown and elsewhere, are petitioning the Town of Provincetown to consider the re-hiring of Mr. Donald Thomas for seasonal employment as a traffic directing officer. Mr. Thomas, better known as "The Dancing Cop", has been a summer fixture in Provincetown for decades and has performed his task professionally, has successfully kept the flow of traffic moving at the busiest intersection in town, while at the same time giving visitors a glimpse of the "personality " of Provincetown they came here to see. Please, reconsider his employment.

I spent the afternoon watching the empty intersection where Donald used to bring so much joy to our daily commute. The silence at the crosswalk is heartbreaking and only confirms that the town is missing the heart of its summer season.

Seeing the momentumbuild makes me think about how much brighter those summer intersections were when Donald was out there. Please send this link to a few neighbors so we can hit our goal and show the town how much his spirit belongs back on our streets.

My kids loved watching him while we walked down the street. It put a smile on everyone face.
Total joke to fire a guy for having a good attitude. He was the best part of getting stuck in traffic.
BRING HIM BACK!! Nobody directed traffic better than Donald. Dude is a legend in P-town.
Town hall is being way too stuffy about this. Lighten up he was good at his job and people actually paid attention to him
Honestly one of the few good things about summer traffic. Bring him back immediately.
