Kathy's presence at the school has touched the lives of so many children in such a positive way and her absence there will have a far greater impact than anyone might envision. She has been the constant, stable force behind the school for many years with her vision for each student to see their full potential in life by offering gentle encouragement when needed and showing EACH student, regardless of social class or athletic ability, how important their contribution will be in our world.
Thank you for your many years of service and your devotion to the students, Kathy, and we'll see you next year in school!

I have been reading your stories about the positive impact Kathy had on your children and it confirms exactly why she belongs back in our halls. Her absence has left a hole that cannot be filled by anyone else. I am continuing to push for a meeting with the administration to remind them that we are not going to forget her service.

Seeing this community unite behind Kathy proves how deeply she shaped our school. This momentum shows that her decades of kindness will not be forgotten.

Kathy cares for each student like her own kids, you will not find someone more dedicated to her community and school. To have someone involved, engaged, and always positive like Kathy is an invaluable resource that Mr. Kort will never regret brining on board. I urge you Mr. Kort to listen to the community, former students that Kathy still treats like family; bring Kathy back.
I graduated from Meridian in 1980 and Kathy was there then and was such a pleasant person to see in the hallways. I now work in a school and know how hard it is to find someone who will give tirelessly to our students. Kathy has done this for all these years.....do the right thing and give her back a chance to make a difference.
I feel that it is so wrong not to have Kathy at Meridian. Any time I had to call the school about anything she knew exactly what needed or didn't need to be done. I cherish her. I don't think I could have helped my son with things going on at school with her.
Kathy is essential to the success of Meridian Schools. I believe that we all need to do our part in helping her get her job back, if that is what she wants; however, after what she has been through with the school administration, I cannot see how she would want to work for those who have treated her wrongly.
I graduated 30 years ago from MHS and Kathy was the first person that made my brothers and I feel welcome. We transferred into the school when I began my freshman year. She helped all three of us feel welcome and like we were a part of the school.
Kathy is a great women and deserves to have her spot at Meridian back.
When we were considering option enrollment we talked with 4 area schools. Meridian was clearly the best choice. One of the reasons for our decision to come to Meridian was because of the professional caring we received from the first employee of the Meridian school district-Kathy. She is always kind and helpful, to students and parents. If she can not help she directs us in a positive way to someone who can. Kathy

Kathy has been so many things than just a secretary. She has been a nurse, friend, co-parent, confidant, counselor, and moral booster to my children. She is truly the cream of the crop and the school family would be lost without her!
