We believe that The Boombox Bakeshop, located at 502 Adelaide Street North, in London Ontario, should be able to move to, open and operate at their new location at 520 Adelaide Street North. They should be granted their minor variance to the City of London's by law Z.-1-97532. (Zoning by-law for restaurants). We believe this business is a staple in the Old East Village, and the City of London and would like to continue to serve the community on a larger scale.

Updates

The feedback I have received from neighbors highlights just how much this shop anchors the identity of our street. I am currently working on a formal presentation to help the planning committee understand that this move is a benefit to the entire community.

Seeing this community rally around the new location for The Boombox Bakeshop feels like a profound validation of the role this shop plays in our neighborhood. The momentum behind our request shows that the city understands why keeping this business thriving on Adelaide Street is essential.

Supporting small business is just a smart business decision. If the city of London keeps with their policies of making it difficult for small business ...the city will eventually no longer have a downtown for their own locals and for tourists to enjoy.

Don't see why this is an issue. Let Boombox do what they need to in order to grow their business. Support local small businesses, stop the red tape blockage!

I live in Old North and love that a business would be within walking distance in Woodfeild.

This local business has become a well known establishment in London, ON, as well as globally. Ranked #16 by Buzzfeed last year for best bakery in Canada, the Boombox Bakeshop has made London proud by networking, working with, and advertising other local businesses. Visitors from all over the World visit Boombom when they visit London! Boombox is expanding at the proper rate and should not be forced to relocate because of a "parking variance." Boombox Bakeshop is a huge part of the OEV, has all of the local support (especially from other businesses), and is a major part of OEV's revitalization. The Boombox Bakeshop believes in London. I hope the City of London shows the same belief in them. Working together for a stronger and better London!

This is ridiculous, does London have never ending poorly laid out properties? It seems like they are specifically looking for money and causing inconveniences. When running a business you should be supported by the town you work in.
