Crumbs & Whiskers, DC's cat cafe, needs your help!

Our zoning exemption hearing is on March 24 - this is the day when the Board of Zoning Adjustment will determine whether Crumbs & Whiskers will be permitted to operate in the city.

If you're as excited for the cat cafe as we are, please please please voice your support and let them know that DC wants a cat cafe!

i honestly cant believe how many people showed up for this. the momentum is starting to feel real and i think the city is finally paying attention to us.

ive been spending all my time in meetings with city officials trying to explain why this place matters for our community. the paperwork is a total headache but seeing how many of you want this cafe is keeping me going.

I have a doctorate in public health, and I will have no qualms with ordering food from a cat cafe. I trust that DC and Crumbs & Whiskers can work together to create a space that's fun and safe for both people and cats.

This is such a great way to get some of the District's orphan cats a new home. So many of us can't have pets in our apartments, having a place to go cuddle a furball after a stressful day or week would do wonders for our happiness.

Pets are good for our health! According to the CDC, they decrease blood pressure, cholesterol levels, triglyceride levels, feelings of loneliness, and government gridlock. (Okay, I made that last one up, but the rest are true.) Please approve the zoning exemption for Crumbs & Whiskers. Thank you.

I believe that this would be an excellent way to help the city's homeless cat population. Reading through the information on the site this sounds like the health and safety concerns are well tbought out and addressed.

This business will increase revenue in the District, provide a service currently unavailable to DC residents and visitors, and will generate positive PR for DC as it supports a good cause.

I just moved from Oakland where they just opened up the first cat cafe. It is a wonderful addition to the community and helps to serve those cats who need it most. Please support this much-needed endeavor.

It's ridiculous to ban a business from operating. For any reason IMHO. But how can you oppose cats?!
