I met with the athletic department yesterday to present the primary arguments for splitting the roster into two independent programs. They acknowledge the current logistical constraints and are reviewing our proposal for structural changes before the upcoming budget hearing.

The volume of support has reached a level that warrants a formal meeting with the district administration. I have requested a session with Dr. Brenner to discuss the logistics of splitting the swim and dive programs. I will report back once the meeting details are confirmed.

The swimmers and divers have always had different needs. I think this will allow them to equally thrive.
These are 2 separate sports with nothing in Common other than that they are both done in a pool. Just as Football, Soccer, and Field Hockey (Fall Sports) have a "Field" in common, they are treated rightfully as separate teams and accordingly the same standard needs to be applied to Swimming and Diving.
Seems to me that the divers and swimmers practice in a different towns and logically should be under their own coach.
I know these coaches won't return unless we get this done. Let's hold the rope for Marj!
It would be Highly beneficial for Swimming and diving into operate separately.

The proposal makes perfect sense/ the divers are coached by a diving coach in one site while the swimmers by the swim coach at another- why not separate?
