Everyone who supports the Hampshire regional YMCA Dolphins Swim Team, and would like to see this program continued should sign this petition. The YMCA is considering shutting down our swim team, and us swimmers and our families do not want to see our swim team go. The YMCA swim team has been a big part of our community for more than 50 years. Our current team has broken many team, and New England records that date back over 30 years. We are asking the community to support our youth by signing this petition to keep the HRY Dolphins swim team.
We are approaching 250 signatures. Need one final push to hit this goal before we present to the board.

The YMCA swim team helps my daughter to have more confidence in herself. My child has learning disabilities and the swim team helps her to Believe in herself, to be a part of a community, to give the best of helslf for her team.

YMCA swim program was part of my children's growth making helping to make them the wonderful parents and adults they have become. I want my grand kids living in this YMCA vicinity to have the same opportunity.

I don't have children on the swim team, but because I live in the community I get to see how important it is / has been for our local youth. If the Y's mission is to support healthy families and strengthen youth, eliminating a 30 year old organization serving youth seems counter productive to that mission.

Our Swim Team has been the single most important strength, confidence and social builder in the life of my children. Do not disband this team, it will be a travesty to our community.

As a member of the YMCA and a lap swimmer, I sometimes feel the inconvenience of the swim team's use of lanes. However, this is such an important program, that I view it as a community service and encourage the Y and its board and members to continue supporting the team in the spirit of building a stronger community.

This would be a big mistake. I lived in the area for more than thirty years and many of Northampton High schools star swimmers came through the Y program. Great life skills learned through competitive swimming
