We, the undersigned, petition the city of Darien and its Athletic Director to allocate for two assistant swim coaches with commensurate salary for each, for the Darien High School Girls Swim Team starting this fall 2015.
Over the last several years, the Darien High School Girls Swim and Dive Team had an allocation of funds to pay the coaching salary of one head coach for the dive team, one head coach for the swim team and one assistant coach for the swim team. In prior years, the fund allocated for the one assistant swim coach was split between the two assistants.
We respectfully request that your office seek from the Board of Education to fully fund two paid girls swim team coaching assistants by the official start of the fall 2015 Darien High School Girls Swim and Dive season.

The feedback from local families regarding the current coaching structure has been both insightful and consistent. I am currently organizing these testimonies to present them formally to the athletic department later this week.

The girls work way too hard to not have proper coaching staff. Please make this happen for them this year.
its about time the school stepped up and gave these girls the help they need. lets get this done.
This team has all the talent it needs to achieve success. Giving them the same resources as other sports teams at DHS is only fair, and would give the BWSD team the structure needed for future success.
I support the petition for two assistant swim coaches. BWSD has won the triple crown (FCAICs, States, Opens) for the past three years and deserves it.
I support the need for two full time fully funded girls swim team assistant coaches
highly support this motion!

THESE GIRLS DESERVE THE SAME SUPPORT AS ANY OTHER DHS TEAM. FULLY FUND THE COACHES NOW.
