To the Franklin County Fair Board: We, the undersigned, respectfully request that you consider changing the location of the beer tent from it's current location to a new location, such as the opposite side of the Grand Stand, near the entrance in front of the NCCC campus. We feel that over the past few years, the over whelming crowd at the beer tent in it's present location has made the fair and it's entertainment less than enjoyable. At peak times, the small corridor between the grandstand and the rest of the fair, where the beer tent is located, is unpassable. Families that have brought their children to enjoy The Fair's top-notch entertainment are forced to wade through masses of inebriated adults, risking the chance of having beer spilled on them, or being knocked over accidentally by a beer tent patron. We appreciate your attention to this matter, and hope that a resolution can be found that will satisfy the Fair Board, the beer tent patrons, and those who are affected negatively by the atmosphere of the beer tent in it's present location.
