With the sale of alcoholic beverage laws continuously changing, our local businesses are taking a beating. We, at McKean Beverage, would like to take a stand by initiating a petition in hopes of preventing the Country Fair in McKean from selling alcoholic beverages.
McKean Beverage has been a locally owned beer distributor for as long as many people can remember. It has been an upstanding and reputable business for decades. As a current employee, I would hate to see a beer distributor that has withstood so much time dissipate.
Many people believe growth is a good thing, but when it comes to growth of major corporations, I disagree. This change will have lasting effects in the community for years to come. Without a doubt the convenience will end up bringing more traffic within the community, less jobs (for it will be taking from the surrounding local businesses, including not only our establishment but also surrounding taverns), and above all the loss of shopping local.
Please, consider taking a stand with me and showing your support by signing the petition to keep the town of McKean local.

The feedback from local business owners has been heavy lately because they see the exact same threat I do. I have been spending my nights gathering more information to present once we move forward. It is exhausting work but we have to keep trying to protect our town.

Seeing this progress helps me keep going when the days feel long and the odds seem stacked against us. It is exhausting work to protect what we have built here but knowing I am not fighting alone provides the strength I need to continue.

WE NEED TO PROTECT OUR OWN! These big chains just keep taking more and more. Enough is enough.
McKean Beverage has been there forever. Country Fair doesnt need to sell beer too. Leave our local guys alone.

I do not see a need why Country Fair needs to have beer at the McKean location it's only going to take away from the smaller businesses
