King Soopers is attempting to expand their sales of beer. This is a direct threat to the safety of young people in our community by exposing them to high-alcohol beers in an uncontrolled environment. King Soopers will also allow 18 year olds to check ID and stock beer, a clear conflict of interest with regard to keeping alcohol out of the hands of minors.
17th Ave. and Pace St. in Longmont is already served by two retail liquor stores, with tight controls on theft, ID verification, and employees that are 21+. A change to the status quo is not DESIRED or NEEDED in this neighborhood and only serves to increase the risk of alcohol related incidents with youth.

There is 3 school right down the street ! Please don't allow children to get thier hands on booze . Keep it separate!! That's why liquor stores are thier own separate store . Keep kids out .
