To: The Board and the Management of RRCC
1. Make the Tennis/ Paddle Hut a social destination increasing member utilization of the facilities;
2. Increase income to the club
Currently, the beer taps are kept locked unless a paid employee is there to supervise. Yes, the Pub will deliver ONLY IF there is sufficient staffing and they are not too crowded -- members deserve better than this. Yes, everyone is concerned with the potential risk of underage drinking.
1. Every other club in the area has adult beverages available in their sports huts
2. Membership must be trusted to chit
3. Membership must chit in order to be trusted
Underage access to adult beverages is everyone's concern. As a community, we need to police access to adult beverages and a common sense solution should be put in place (e.g., combination locks, inexpensive security camera, etc.).
Walking from the courts to the Pub in order to grab a round of beers is not member friendly, nor does it contribute income of the club. Also, paddle sports are played during hours when there is no service available elsewhere in RRCC. We, the members of RRCC, respectfully request ready access to beer and wine in the Tennis/ Paddle Hut.

The current level of interest confirms the need for a formal policy change at the club. I am preparing a briefing document for the Board to review during their next meeting to address the security concerns and potential revenue benefits.

SERIOUSLY. Every other place in town figured this out years ago. Just put a camera in and let us chit our own drinks. tired of the inconvenience.
Finally. It makes no sense that we have to walk all the way back to the clubhouse after a match just to get a drink. Fix this already.

Would love to be able to grab a beer at the hut after paddle. seems like an easy fix.
