Weis Markets has recently purchased the land on the corner of 522 and 204 in Selinsgrove. The plan is to install gas pumps. In addition, the plan is to buy a restaurant license and sell beer to go. By signing this petition you agree that Weis Markets should not be selling beer at this busy intersection because it is situated so close to our school campus. Furthermore, many of our young people currently go to Weis Markets for drinks and snacks after school. Now, they will be crossing a busy highway to do so. Selling beer at this location will give easier access to minors compounded by a traffic nightmare. Many folks who have children are already being delayed at this intersection in the morning due to the current flow of traffic. By signing this petition, you also agree that you oppose the current ingress and egress plans of development as this will most certainly effect morning traffic and an elevated level of accidents.
