Beat the Winter Roads in 100 Mile House

As accidents on badly maintained Winter Roads in 100 Mile and surrounding areas are getting more and more each year, we the people starting this petition that our voices will be heard by the competent authority.

More and more people recognize that we drive in our area in unacceptable conditions and wonder why the Roads after Chasm in the South and after Lac La Hache in the North are every year so much better prepared.

It's time to stand up for our rights to get well maintained Winter driving conditions for our Tax Money.

We want also that more Windshield friendly material will be used like Sand and Salt and not this horrible craval bullets.

Please sign and share this Petition that we and also people that passing through on the Highway can drive safely. Thank you

The level of engagement regarding our local road maintenance concerns has surpassed my initial expectations. This surge in public interest indicates that the current state of our highways is a priority for many residents. I am currently preparing to present these concerns to the appropriate authorities.

The petition has now surpassed one hundred signatures. This level of interest confirms the public frustration regarding current road maintenance standards in our region.

If a bonus is given out to the contractor then it should be based on the least amount of accidents and how well the area is maintained. It should not be based on how much money is saved. My families lives are more important then someone's bonus.

The roads are horrendous even after they apparently plow them. Lots of side roads even a few bus routes like tatton Rd don't get plowed right away. Also the sand, sorry I should say dirt with huge rocks all over the road constantly cracking windshields. Something needs to change and fast

The green lake south Rd never gets done. There is plenty of seniors out that way who shouldn't have to drive there vehicles through 6inches of snow and ice to get to 70 mile. Or 100 mile.

We were in an accident friday november 25th on highway 97 by highway 24 intersection due due improperly plowed and sanded road conditions. We needs much better care of our roads. The employees do their very best they can i place no blame on them personally but with the people they work for.

My family and I currently have to drive these roads quite frequently as I am due in a few months to have my baby and my doctor is located in Williams lake. It is terrifying driving these roads and constantly passing by accident scenes, or overturned vehicles. It can happen to anyone!

I use to commute to Williams lake for work and drive that highway 5 days a week for 8years. There is a clear line at the lac la hache buffalo corners where the roads always have gotten better. That's because it is Williams lakes district!! We deserve better roads conditions. Enough is enough!

Windshield friendly gravel for the roads . A bit ridiculous paying deductible for a fault that wasn't your own doing. Unacceptable in my eyes

I grew up in 100 Mile and have family and friends are still in the area. Growing up, I remember the roads as being far better maintained. We travel to the Cariboo area several times a year but stop traveling up in the winter months, unless necessary, due only to the poorly maintained roads and the gravel vs. sand that is used on the roads and would travel up if the roads were better maintained.
