I lost someone on this stretch of road and hearing your stories makes me realize how many other families are living in constant fear during the winter. I am currently compiling all of your experiences to present directly to the local representatives who have been ignoring this danger for far too long.

Seeing this kind of momentum brings some real peace to my mind because I know how many of us hold our breath every time we drive that stretch. This response proves that my neighbors are finally saying enough is enough regarding the danger on our road.

Living in Avoca my whole life I can tell you this stretch is a nightmare in Jan/Feb. My wife refuses to take it anymore.
Fix it now before someone else loses a loved one.
Total death trap. Had a close call last winter and it scared the life out of me.
WAY TOO MANY ACCIDENTS. stop waiting for someone else to die before fixing this road.
Terrified to drive this road when the wind picks up. It is literally a sheet of ice and snow whiteouts.

Every year it is the same exact mess. DOT needs to wake up and put up those fences already.
