The SNP Scottish Government announced in April 2014 that Aberdeen Royal Infirmary would be one of four major trauma centres in Scotland. They have now gone back on that decision, and are consulting on a two-centre model based on Edinburgh and Glasgow. We the undersigned agree with Scottish Labour that ARI must be one of Scotland’s major trauma centres to guarantee that it will remain at the cutting edge of modern medicine.
