if the shoe was on the other foot and the people who propose closures had to travel 20miles when their lives depended on it wouldn't let it happen to themselves and their nearest and dearest ,
Stop the privatisation and marketisation of our NHS now. It's been going on to long and the people of Wigan must come together and demand the government put a stop to the rationalisation of our most valuable service. The NHS will survive so long as people have the faith to fight for it, I am one of those people. When do we march and demonstrate outside our Hospital.
it should be noted that the 'Healthier Together' questionnaire is designed to confuse the reader. By choosing options 5.1 & 5.2 this could save not only A&E but other services currently offered by WWL NHS Foundation Trust.
my wife works at wigan and the moral is rock bottom. they are run into the ground and now they want to take away the main unit. absolute disgrace.

I'm sorry to have to say this but for such an important issue an e-petition is a bit lame.A campaign against A&E closure needs a far more robust challenge.I am a recently retired staff nurse ,an employee of WWL. and I know how things work. The organisation is run for the good of the highly paid management structure, patients and staff are merely the vehicle for their self gain and aggrandisement. If the A&E is to be closed the decision has already been made ,although they will continue to deny it ,'til days before it closes.
