We, the below signed REGISTERED VOTERS AND TAXPAYERS of Augusta-Richmond County, Georgia and affected neighboring communities, do hereby sign this petition to affirm and declare that we will no longer tolerate chronic nuisances in our neighborhoods, where we work, where we shop, and anywhere else in the Central Savannah River Area (CSRA). We declare that we will no longer run from this issue, knowing that running does not stop the problem but only allows it to expand.
In signing this petition, we furthermore state that we want Augusta-Richmond County to adopt a Chronic Nuisance Property Ordinance (CNPO) to help abate this problem. Having done our own research, we realize that this is a constitutional and innovative American means created to help stop the spread of chronic nuisance behaviors that make our lives unsafe and deprives us of peace of mind in body and spirit.

I have been reading through your stories about the conditions in our neighborhoods and I am truly humbled by the experiences you are sharing. Your resolve to see this ordinance passed is the only reason this conversation is finally beginning to move forward.

bout time someone did something about these problem properties. its ruining our home town.
i live right next to a place like this and it is a nightmare. wont let my kids play outside anymore because of the noise and trash.
long overdue. hope the county finally listens to us taxpayers.
Augusta needs to step up. tired of paying taxes just to deal with this junk in my neighborhood.
Enough is enough. My street has been a mess for years and the city does nothing. We need this fixed now.
We want a safe historic Augusta for all to enjoy!

Property values are being killed by these houses. Fix the ordinance!!
