Dear Residents of the Courtyards, Last week, a young woman was walking in the Courtyards parking lot at 8:30 PM. She was asked the time by another person walking, so she took out her cell phone to check. After that she was thrown to the ground and robbed. This was at 8:30 PM., a time where so many of us residents are coming back from a meeting, class or work. It is a time early enough in the evening where we shouldn't feel as if our safety is threatened. We are writing this in hopes of getting enough signatures so that we could ask the Courtyards if it is possible to have a security guard on patrol during the evenings. Personally knowing the young woman who was robbed, it is scary to think that the area we are living in can be so unsafe. It is important for all of our safety to have such security, especially now that it gets dark so early in the evening. Thank you.
