American Specialty Health (ASH) is a monopoly and is engaged in the process of price fixing by denying fare-and-reasonable compensation for medically necessary services and for discounting fees to prices that are far below what is usual-and-customary in the fair marketplace. These practices are in violation with the Antitrust Laws and are filing a class action lawsuit demanding that they cease and desist and we are calling for the immediate break up of this monopoly so that practitioners can return to a fair market.

Having to drop Cigna Insurance for my acupuncture patients next week since Cigna now requires we sign the contract with ASH. Had to drop BCBS years ago due to this as well. ASH should be shut down by the Federal Government.
We could not remain in-network with Blue Shield of California due to ASH's low rates and unmanageable paperwork and approval process, which seemed more like a way to deny coverage and payment for services than anything else.
The low reimbursement set for medical nutrition therapy for registered dietitians has made our group unable to participate in the Anthem Blue Cross network. This has harmed many of our Anthem Blue Cross clients as they have to pay out of pocket for their medical nutrition therapy
My acupuncturist only gets a fraction of what they need to pay her. I was shocked to hear how much she is given from ASH. It is not fair to expect the practitioner to get paid less for all the work she does. My co-pay is more than what ASH appropriates for her.
Do other medical providers get paid this low? This is criminal. Just as we are making it into the main stream light of medical care, this pulls the rug out from under us. We deserve more than $41 a treatment. Which only $26 is paid by the insurance.
We have been getting hosed by ASH as a profession. They are literally just terrible.
This company's CEO George T. DeVries III is a nightmare.

ASH inserts themselves into the process, skins the money, lowers the scope and quality of care and drives away the more established and experienced practitioners, lowering the quality of care unbeknownst to the patients. Unethical on all fronts.
