For the past 16 years Cairo Ale house as served the community as a local restaurant and entertainment establishment. They have been rooted in the community supporting arts, charitable events, and creating an atmosphere that welcomes everyone.

We are reaching out to this community to help show support in the upcoming hearing in regards to an unfair noise ordinance. They have been pressed with charges for sound violations that were no louder than the crickets outside. This petition is for the city to recognize Cairo Ale House is a business maintained through live events. We are looking to continue these events in conjunction with the cities assistance and support. Due to a recent change to their sound ordinance law, the City of West Chicago is serving Cairo Ale House a notice to close for seven days, pending a hearing that could result in their liquor license being revoked or being forced to fully close.

Please join us in bringing justice to this local family owned business. We barely survived COVID and now we are looking to continue our business with the same culture and live events we have maintained for 16 years. Thank you all for your continued support during these difficult times!

Good people own this, and it is a shame that it is being shut down. My adult kids go for karaoke and I never have to worry about the area or safety. The family that owns it is very involved with making sure everyone feels welcome and included.

I live half a mile from this business and have heard absolutely zero noise coming from the building. Please do not make these businesses suffer any further. Do the right thing West Chicago and let them resume live music. It’s what the people want!

Keep this venue open! Local musicians who create original music are losing venues where they can perform at an alarming rate this year. We need Cairo to stay open as it plays an important role in contributing to the local music and artist community.

Among the many virtues of this venue, it provides a unique service for young, upcoming, and sometimes unheard of musicians and artists. It would be a shame if those hard working individuals would be deprived of a means of networking during such dire times.

Cairo Ale House is one of the coolest places West Chicago has for live events, the noise complaint is ridiculous, you can't even hear the music from the parking lot, seems like the complaint is an excuse to shut down young people gathering.

Cairo has been considered one of my homes since 2019, and is verifiably the only venue I'll make last minute plans to go to. Please don't kill live music in the burbs. There is NO other venue within 30 mins of Aurora that regularly hosts bass shows

I'm a promoter and on several management teams for local dj's and are interested in playing here, and coming as guests. People move in next to a place and expect it to conform to them. I'm so sorry.

You can’t do this! Let them make some noise! These guys were one of the first venues to let me play my music back in the day!!!
