Do you like having live music at The Blackheart? Then please sign this petition to help us counteract a petition that has been started requesting that the city revoke our music license! TO THE CITY OF AUSTIN MUSIC DIVISION: We the undersigned support live music at The Blackheart because… 1. The Blackheart has complied with all city permitting requirements and continues to make endless costly additions and changes per the city's constantly evolving specifications in order to keep their music license. 2. The Blackheart has operated within consistently decreasing decibel levels (from 85 down to 75, and now possibly going down even further to 70) and has had ZERO sound violations. 3. There are no other complaints going around against any of the other bars on Rainey Street that have live music. The Blackheart is being unfairly targeted and singled out by a small group of individuals in a neighboring residential apartment complex, and we want you to recognize that there is as much or more support FOR live music at The Blackheart as there is against it. 4. Live music is what makes this city great and attracts hundreds of thousands of tourists to our city each year, pumping millions of dollars into the city's economy.
