It has been a feature of Gateshead, home to many buses and their drivers, for years and now they wish to tear it down. We need to raise our voice's and let The Northern know that we are not letting them take a piece of our history.
I spent the morning walking by the depot and thinking about the drivers who have worked there for decades. The silence from the company is frustrating but I am currently drafting a formal response to the board to demand a meeting about this demolition.

Seeing this kind of momentum confirms that I am not the only one who refuses to let them erase our neighborhood history. The level of response shows how much this place truly belongs to all of us.

Local drivers shouldn’t be forced to travel miles out the way just for work. Especially with cost of living right now.

another depot lost to greed by management, 109 years of history gone, shame on them for ripping the heart out of a thriving town.
