PETITION
to
Haverford Township
From the
Township Citizens
to
RESTORE KARAKUNG
KARAKUNG (Cobbs) CREEK is in an ecologically debased condition.
Karakung Creek is engulfed in invasive species, vines and growths that are destroying the native plants and the vitality of the creek. We, the undersigned, call on Haverford Township and its Civic Maintenance to take immediate action to eliminate the destructive growths and to engage all and any state and local agencies to restore Karakung (Cobb’s) Creek to a proper ecological balance.
The township passed an ordinance against bamboo several years ago. Why isn’t it working to control Japanese Knotwood along Cobbs creek?
