town of Needham: Stop Sign at the Corner of Falcon and Bond for the safety of our children
The corner of Falcon and Bond Streets in Needham, MA is an accident waiting to happen. This intersection is a main route for many of our children to walk safely to school. Currently there is only a stop sign on Bond Street with no stop signs on Falcon. Cars currently are driving at very high speeds both ways down the hills on Falcon Street making the intersection with Bond Street very unsafe. A simple solution to both slowing down cars who are driving very fast on Falcon and to ensure a safe intersection is to make this intersection a four way stop by putting stop signs on Falcon Street. The town agreed to do a traffic study of this intersection to see if the traffic pattern would allow for a stop sign within state law. The first priority is to get a stop sign installed. By signing this petition you are in support of making Falcon and Bond a four way stop as our first choice. If the traffic study does not allow a stop sign to be installed per state law, by signing this petition you agree that a Yield Sign would be installed as an alternative option both ways on Falcon Street.

Need this stop sign. Traffic is getting worse and people dont pay enough attention.
People drive far to fast through our neighborhood and, considering the number of children in the neighborhood, stop signs are definitely needed to slow drivers down and keep people safe.
I highly support a 4 way stop sign here. I just moved to Falcon street (near the corner of Bond St.) and have noticed cars flying down Falcon St. I will feel much safer having my 3 boys play out front and walk to school if this 4 way stop sign is installed. Thank you!
We live right on this corner and have concerns for our children the the dozens of kids we see walking across this street each day. I have seen near misses with bikers and cars that can't see each other easily due to the curve and the road. A stop sign would ensure that this crossing is safe for the many children that cross back and forth in this neighborhood.
We walk/bike and scooter across this intersection every day that we walk to or from school and also share this concern about safety.
