We request a reduction in the speed limit from 30mph to 20mph on the A283 between the junction of North Street and High Street and the junction of Washington Road and Woodpecker Lane.

The footpath is extremely narrow particularly at the bottom of Manleys Hill and vehicles travelling at speed (when traffic levels allow) are dangerously close to pedestrians, many of whom are frail, wheelchair bound or walking with infants and young children. Furthermore there is no pedestrian crossing in the area of the junction with Meadowside and this road is crossed frequently.
