We the undersigned support Plaistow and Ifold Parish Council's application to make the roads in our parish safer for all road users by:
1. Reducing the current 40mph Speed Limit on Plaistow Road, Ifold, to 30mph.2. Extending the current 30mph Speed Limit on Rickmans Lane further south to the village sign.
3. Extending the current 30mph Speed Limit on Dunsfold Road further north to the junction with Shillinglee Road

I am honestly overwhelmed by how many people have joined this cause recently. It is clear that this is a priority for our community and this momentum belongs entirely to you.

As per my husbands comments, Keith Lawrence, this is a small village with no pavements and it is not safe for my 88 year old mother to walk to Ifold stores along the road with 10 ton lorries going at 40 mph
I support this petition for two reasons 1) safety there are so many near misses on rural roads as you literally don't know what is round the next bend! 2)Also our quintessential English villages deserve to be treasured for the benefit of residents and visitors.
We are on one of the bends in Plaistow Road with a poor vision line to the right (west) as we exit our drive. Patience and an element of "crossing fingers" is required. But how will a lower speed limit be controlled? Nevertheless it is now needed. Vince Desson
When one considers the bends in the roads, the number of properties and the unfortunate fact that this road is now a ‘rat-run’, a reduction in the speed limit AND an enforcement of that limit is essential.
I fully support the proposal to extend the 30mph zone to the village sign on Rickmans Lane. My two children currently walk along the road to catch the school bus and go to the village school with cars flying past them at 60mph. It is an accident waiting to happen
We live on the Plaistow Road close to a bend and find exiting our drive a very dangerous process due to the speed of oncoming traffic. Reducing the speed limit is vital if accidents are to be avoided.

I regularly walk along this road and as there is no provision for pedestrians (footpath), the speed limit of 40 mph is much to fast, it must be reduced before there is an accident (involving pedestrians) with people saying "if only"..
