We, the undersigned residents and property owners of Southwest Middlesex, strongly oppose the installation of industrial wind turbines in our municipality.
These turbines would drastically alter the rural character of our community, diminish property values, and negatively affect the health, well-being, and enjoyment of our homes and land. We have serious concerns about noise pollution, shadow flicker, and long-term environmental harm. In addition, studies and local reports have shown that turbine operations can disrupt private well water supplies—putting our drinking water and irrigation at risk.
We believe that local residents—not developers or distant corporate interests—should decide what happens to our land and skyline.
This petition will be submitted to Southwest Middlesex Council to demonstrate that the community does not support industrial wind turbine development in this region. Our voices matter. Let’s make sure they’re heard.

We live on Mayfair on a hobby farm and would find this an infringement on rural living. We do not support wind turbines being put in in our area.
Wind turbines would ruin not only the charm of the area, but would also destroy our ground water, particularly in and around Petrolia, where there is abundant oil. Who knows how far that could spread into other townships and ruin the water there. This would be detrimental to human, animal, and plant life
Would interrupt hunting and remove quite a few spots I use for coyote hunting. I do not want one behind my farm.
I purchased property based on NO WIND TURBINE policy. I was impressed by the proactive stance this community had taken. Now I have to ask - who thought it was a good idea to reopen this "done deal" policy? I get greed is the motivator but what gives people the right to depreciate their neighbour's property value by 12 to 30% (range varies depending organization performing studies)?
I do not want to have them near my home or my families homes. I have been near these will working and found them annoying with the sound they emit.
Stop this expensive, bird destroying, china supporting virtue signaling. We need effective energy production that doesn’t destroy nature

As the owner of a SWM organic farm, with extensive investment from both Ducks Unlimited and the Conservation Authority and their donors to create a massive wetland restoration project to support several endangered species and migratory birds, I cannot support the construction of wind turbines in our township.
