We are creating this petition to oppose bail for the suspect arrested in the Monicca Dube case, for the safety of the family and community members, and to demand justice for Monicca Dube.

Monicca Dube was a community leader, a mother, a wife, and a sibling. Her loss has left pain that reaches far beyond one family. It has shaken people who knew her, worked with her, and depended on her presence in the community. This is why we believe this matter must be handled with the seriousness it deserves.

We ask the authorities to keep the suspect in custody and to deny bail while the case is ongoing. This is important for the safety of the family, for community members, and for the integrity of the justice process. When a case like this is treated lightly, it deepens fear and leaves people feeling unprotected.

We also call for justice for Monicca Dube and for a firm stand against gender-based violence. GBV harms families, tears communities apart, and leaves too many people living in fear. We need a response that shows that women’s lives matter, that families matter, and that community safety matters.
