The Homeowners of Ridge at Woodland Cove Townhomes/Woodland Cove Villas are concerned of hazardous driving along Woodland Cove Boulevard where it is unsafe for pedestrians. We petition the City of Minnestrista to install two (2) clearly marked crosswalks, at least one speed limit sign, or a blinking speed light.

The number of residents expressing concerns about vehicle speed on our boulevard has confirmed that this issue affects us all. I am currently preparing a formal letter to the city planning department to ensure our request is reviewed by the proper authorities.

The one proposed crosswalk is used at the bus stop for school children and the other crosswalk connects to the playground. Due to the concentrated number of children using these two locations, I feel it is very important to protect their safety. Now that there is a large number of residents using this road at a speed of 30 mph or faster, there needs to attention drawn to these crossings.
Even though there are 15 mph speed signs, many cars do not follow this. There’s many school age children getting in buses who’se safety is paramount.
Please take our petition seriously. We need crosswalks on the street, crosswalk signs, speed limit signs and for some period of time flashing speed tracking signs. You have no other development in Minnetrista with the density of Woodland Cove. Please listen to us
This needed to be done years ago, we’re just lucky that no one hasn’t been hit.
I have two young children who like to play outside and bike and this road has caused a lot of anxiety because of unsafe crossing conditions.
We need safe crosswalks for the walkers and children in the neighborhood.
We want safety and there are lots of dog walkers and kids out.

I walk to Caribou and the grocery with my grand children. It is not safe as cars can be hidden by the landscaping. Visitors don’t know how often we use that crossing There is no warning.
