FORMAL PETITION:
I PETITION the White Rock Mayor and Council to halt consideration by the City of the 6-storey Development Proposal*** for the White Rock Mufflers Site and confirm the integrity of the existing Official Community Plan and Bylaws stipulating a maximum building height of 3 storeys.*** Georgia Laine Developers is attempting to overturn the existing OCP and Bylaws (which stipulate a maximum height of 3 storeys) in order to build a 6-storey Twin Tower Development from Marine Drive to Buena Vista on the existing White Rock Mufflers site. If approved this would destroy the traditional character of the neighbourhood and open the floodgates of high rise development all along White Rock's beachfront.
