This petition was been
created with the intention of being present to the Village of Clarendon Hill’s
Trustees. Its purpose is to voice the community’s opinion regarding the height
of the approved building at 9 - 23 Walker Ave. Your signature indicates
that you want the building to conform to the Downtown area, and limited at two
stories in height.
The momentum we have built proves the Trustees cannot just ignore our neighborhood anymore. They think they can build over our heads and ruin our downtown but they are dead wrong.

I do not support a four story building downtown, It will make a congested traffic in Downtown Clarendon Hills and will have safety issues for our kids.

At March 7 meeting, Not one protestor expressed concern in a building similar to proposed. Each statement heard was against the Enormity of the building & abundance of units! Please respect our Master Plan!!! Why is this board so unwilling to hear & compromise?

A year ago, 66% of the village voted to restrict buildings to 2 stories or 30 feet. What about this do our elected representatives not understand.

The understanding when this board was voted in is that you would still respect the wishes of this community. It is opaque to me why any of you would feel justified in rejecting the desires of those you represent. Limit the building to two stories.

both our civil servants and the Trustees should be honoring the DTMP and the zoning rules. They took an oath of office to represent the taxpayers. Len Austin and gang included honoring the DTMP in their campaign promises. Other developers would certainly honor the rules.

Deleted comment of concern: The village residents were resounding in our agreement about the charm of the streetscape in our downtown and our desire to maintain the look and feel of the buildings. 4 story buildings were expressly not viewed as congruent with this vision. I see absolutely no upside for us as a village to encourage a building of that size to be built downtown and to increase traffic and parking issues.

We don't need any section 8 housing included so that clause can be crossed out. The developer has marketed this as "luxury apartments" so certainly he should agree to remove this wording.

I say NO. No section 8 housing in Clarendon Hills.
