The Bella Vista Architectural Control Committee (ACC) has recently announced that white fences will no longer be grandfathered effective January 1, 2022. This is an overreach of authority by the ACC that will put an unnecessary and expensive burden upon Bella Vista property owners.
We, the undersigned, hereby petition the ACC to reverse their decision, and to continue to allow white fences in Bella Vista.

We don't have a "white" fence but signed the petition as a protest against the ACC ruling. There are more major violations in Bella Vista than worrying about "white" fences.
One of the functions of a governmental body is to enforce contracts. I can understand something losing its grandfathered status after someone sells their house or it changes hands, but removing a grandfathered provision, that people acquired legally through permits, should not be happening.
We bought our house 7 years ago with a charming white vinyl split rail fence . We had no idea they were outlawed till we read the editorial in the paper. Our maintenance free fence will now cost us $475 to paint.
painting PVC will cause the paint to peel off. It won't stick well. It is far more attractive to have pretty white fences than unsightly peeling fences.
we were given a permit before the fence was installed and now you want to rescind the agreement? not going to comply with you revoking your own policy.

White fences add attractive contrast to a home's color scheme and therefore should be allowed. I feel the POA should pay more attention to fences that are poorly maintained, especially 6 foot privacy fences, which in my opinion detract from the rural beauty of our area because they create a visual "wall" that blocks views of beautiful trees.
