We want our loyalty honored and rewarded! Return D2 status to American airlines retirees .
We the employee's from the corporate area to the ramp areas. Literally, on many occasions gave our lives, our time, money,sweat and tears. We gave what was asked of us in order to help American airlines succeed. We stood committed even in the most weathered and stressful times. Personally and professionally we sacrificed our time from our family often working into long hours to make the operation work.
We looked forward to the long standing Tradition of D2 travel as our commitment and long standing professional career came to the end of it's tenure. Traveling on D2 status during our retiree years was to be the pot of gold for our dedicated relationship to American airlines.
We ask American airlines to restore and honor it's appreciation for our loyalty by restoring our traveling status from D2R to D2.

American Airlines, Honor what you promised when we retired. I agreed to your terms under VOEP 1. The agreement specifically said I would receive the same level of travel as active employees. Keep your word and reinstate D2 travel for retirees.
I hereby sign this petition. I put twenty hard years in AA, from gate agent to fa to instructor at the training center. I signed a contract that gave me D2 status for flying because i had 20 years service. Please stand by that contract. Thank you
I think the President changed this to D2R as a appeasement toward the employees when the both USAIR an AA merged. Well the transition period is done now is the time to recognize the retirees for their time and dedication for their yrs of service and return to the D2 status that we deserve.
As a Maintenance Mechanic who retired in 2012 I was promised D2 status with 14 passes and I paid into prefunding with matching funds 6 months into retirement AA downgraded my D2 status cut my passes and prefunding AA still owes me the prefunding money. This is not a way to start out making folks happy.
D2 travel was part of our retirement package. Most of us who worked full time were not able to travel as much as we would’ve liked to. Looking forward to traveling more in our retirement years then having the benefit reduced is a huge let down after 30 years of service and dedication!!
I gave American Airlines 35 years of my life. I was promised D2 till I died….. I’m still ALIVE. PLZ PLZ give us our D2 status back.

Between my husband and I, we have 70 years of service. We request that we return to D2 status from D2R. Honor those that gave their blood, sweat, tears and company before family years of service.
