We The Undersigned strongly urge the negotiators of the Transport Workers Union ,to concentrate their energies on protecting and strengthening the contract language on Supplemental Retiree Medical Benefits. 1 Medical cost are rising annually and contract language written 15 years ago don\'t meet this challenge. 2 Any changes or elimination of retiree medical now, could be catastrophic for members in the future 3 The elimination of retiree benefits eliminates the possibilty of early retirement. 4 Make provisions to open retiree Supplemental Medical to those members not already enrolled in the program. 5 The 04/04/08 article in the Wall Street Journal quoted president Jim Little , stating AMR\'s zeal to eliminate retiree medical.
