The Elizabeth Shelter needs Darcy there either full or Part Time. They have a position available and are sending someone to Animal Control Officer school. Someone with no experience in the field will not do what Darcy does. She has gotten more dogs and cats into rescue or adopted since she started working 1 day a week. She goes there on other days and is always on call. She gets baby wildlife to rehabs, bottle baby kittens to fosters and is always trying to reunite found dogs and cats with their owner. I think the Elizabeth shelter needs her to continue with the daily pictures of surrenders and strays. Because of her, most dogs and cats/kittens get into a rescue. The problem is with the Mayor. He keeps saying it has to be an Elizabeth resident for the job. Why? This position needs someone with the years of experience with rescue and shelter work that Darcy has.
