The Elizabeth Shelter needs Darcy there either full or Part Time. They have a position available and are sending someone to Animal Control Officer school. Someone with no experience in the field will not do what Darcy does. She has gotten more dogs and cats into rescue or adopted since she started working 1 day a week. She goes there on other days and is always on call. She gets baby wildlife to rehabs, bottle baby kittens to fosters and is always trying to reunite found dogs and cats with their owner. I think the Elizabeth shelter needs her to continue with the daily pictures of surrenders and strays. Because of her, most dogs and cats/kittens get into a rescue. The problem is with the Mayor. He keeps saying it has to be an Elizabeth resident for the job. Why? This position needs someone with the years of experience with rescue and shelter work that Darcy has. Please sign this petition, this is for the Animals of Elizabeth. Thank you

Darcy is an angel for animals and Elizabeth should be BEGGING to have her! Because of HER efforts, more lives have been saved and Elizabeth's euthanasia numbers have been lowered. She not only has the passion, she has the EXPERIENCE that Elizabeth needs!
There is NO ONE else for this position! Darcy has proven herself to be the most qualified over and over again through the years. She should have been hired from the very beginning. The City of Elizabeth should stop with the political red tape.
The dogs and cats are from many towns in Union county, not just Elizabeth. Darcy has done a wonderful job trying to reunite or find homes for these pets. Why would anyone try to cause an issue here? This doesn't make sense... She's doing a wonderful job for "Us" and for "Them."
I do not know Darcy, but I follow the union county lost page and several other animal pages on Facebook. She is always posting videos and pictures of animals in the shelter in order to spread the word on adopting these animals in need.
Dedicated to ensuring the safe and humane placement of any animal within the Elizabeth shelter system and city area, and gives 100% to minimizing loss of life, educating residents on successful pet ownership and developing strategies to reduce shelter expenses through rescue network placement.
Pls consider Darvy for the position! She is the most dedicated of all.
Care and commitment is what counts, not an address. Rescues are on the front line and know who does the best for animals in need.

Pleas hire Darcy. What difference does it make where she lives as long as she can do the job! The Elizabeth Shelter has been successful as of late BECAUSE of her and the working relationship she has with the current employees as well as rescue organizations.
